Giveaway With My Sister! (closed) (I'm still mad at her)

You guys met Chantel this weekend when she guest posted about her foot phobia which I didn't cause. And then you got to meet her again yesterday, when she snuck back in my blog and posted all those awful pictures.

(I'm going to add a bunch of pictures to this post, to illustrate our relationship)

She is a terrible person.

And she is lucky it was her birthday.

Don't worry guys, I'm planning my revenge. But I'm going to be really, really nice to her until then. It will be creepier that way.

Let me tell you a few things about Chantel.

We don't actually call her Chantel very often. It's always Tel, or Tellie, or Tubby or Tubs.

She is 22, and she looks like she is 14. Mostly because she is only 4'11" tall.

Chantel loves the arts. Acting, dancing, painting, writing. She loves doing it, and she loves when other people do it.

She has a new passion for blogging. And jewelry making.

We are so good at gang signs. My favorite is Annies.

And she loves her family. Especially me. Oh yeah, and her husband. And maybe our sister Amber.

She likes animals and small children. No, not to eat. (although she does look creepy that picture...)

She also loves Bath and Body Works. She has an extensive body splash collection, and more soap than she knows what to do with.

Today she is giving away this set of Bath and Body Works hand soaps. The scents are Tangerine Burst, Crisp Cucumber, and White Citrus. Beautiful.

You may be wondering why I agreed to host this giveaway. It's Stage 1 in Operation Be Incredibly Nice To My Future Victim.

This Giveaway is great if:

A. you like pretty smelling things, and

B. you wash your hands after using the bathroom.

I imagine that's most of you...

There are a few ways to enter. You can choose any, or all of them. The more times you enter, the better your odds of winning!
(be sure to leave a comment for each entry. That way we won't miss any)

Optional Entries:

1 Entry: Do you have any funny stories about your sisters? Or maybe you've heard funny stories from friends. Tell us about it in a comment!

1 Entry: Follow My Thoughts And Treasures (Chantel's blog)

1 Entry: Follow Life in the Pitts

1 Entry: "Like" the Life in the Pitts Facebook Page.

Up to 3 Entries: Promote this Giveaway. Tweet, blog, make it your facebook status, etc.

The winner will be contact through email. Or twitter, or their blog, or maybe smoke signal if email isn't provided.

This Giveaway will close on Sunday the 4th, at Midnight, so be sure to enter before then!

okay so my first sister was born when i was 15. (yes you read that right). my second sister was born when i was 18. (yes you also read that right, no typo here folks). and fyi, since you are wondering ~ my parents and their parents are the same parents. no second marriage, just second other stuff i guess..i dunno, i really try not to think about that part of it all too much!!!

so my stories about my sis's are pretty much baby stories about them ~ the funny ones anyway ~ my fave memory of my sister finleigh is from when she was about 2 or 3 (so i was 20 or 21) and she came running out to livingroom (we had company and my dad was about to give her a quick bath to put her to bed) and she was yelling "everybody!!! everybody!! don't look at me, i'm nake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (which means naked in 2 year old talk)

totally, totally hilarious and she loves when i tell that story to her friends...cuz now she is 13. and i'm still 21.

Let's see...funny sister stories...back when I was in high school and my big sis was in college, I would mail her notes or things I wrote just to cheer her up. We got them out a couple weekends ago to read through them, and man, we were crazy! I also created books about Barbie's life with her by taking color book pages and writing my own dialogue with the pictures...one of them involved Ken leaving Barbie for Skipper and Barbie's desperate attempts to win him back, one of which involved her trying to say she was dating another man who turned out to be a dog...not sure where that came from, but hey, we thought it was funny :-)

This gives me an idea for a blog post :-)

we were walking with a bunch of friends (back in hs when no one could drive) and she had to pee REALLY BAD. so bad she couldnt hold it. we were in a neighborhood that we didnt know anyone (and it was like 10.30 at night). then she saw it-a house that was half built. so she ran into the basement and peed! she thought she was sneaking away but we all followed her quietly and scared what ever pee that was still in her out while she was pulling up her shorts! ha ha ha ha!
i wonder who bought that house...

I have to say Your family is adorable. You are so lucky to have sisters so close in age, I'm so jealous. I'm ten years apart from my little sister. I love her to death, but because of that massive generation gap, the dynamic is just on a different level.
Very cute blog!

Maybe my story is more sad than funny. We travel 1200+ miles to go home and have only made the trip 4 times in 16 years. When I go home my sister who hated and tortured me growing up drives 30 minutes each way to my moms house and cooks dinner for my family. My other two sisters, well I see one when she drops her kids off to "visit" for the week and the other I haven't seen in the last two visits. Yeah, I have one sister I would walk through fire for, the other two...well talk to me when you come see me. I am queenesperfect at yahoo.com

There have been a lot of funny moments between me and my big sister, but I most enjoy catching her in WTF moments. Lol. We tease each other a lot, and during one of our immature teasing sessions, I sarcastically asked, "And *how* old are *you*?" She responded, clearly without thinking, "Older than your *mom*!" There were a few seconds of silence before I cracked up. xDDD

Growing up my mother would only let my younger sister and I have gerbils for pets. Being girls, we'd pick them up by their long tails. One day, my sister grabbed one of the gerbils by his tail and then said "hey, watch this" and proceeded to swing the gerbil around by his tail like she had a lasso. The gerbil flew across the room and in her hand, my sister still had most of his tail..it broke right off! You should have seen the look on her face holding that gerbil tail. Poor "stubby" ended up just fine..two little girls doctored him up with vaseline and a make-shift bandage.

My sister was the baby of the family - I used to babysit every Friday night and she'd always complain that my younger brother (older than her) did this or that to her. I found out that she was usually fibbing, just to get him in trouble, so I started pretending that I didn't care what he did to her. She was so shocked and heartbroken that she started to cry. I felt bad and had to tell her I knew of her evil deeds. We laugh about it today. :D

It is fun to have family - and practical jokes seem to be a regular routine. We have been doing some remodeling and while one of the kids were away at camp, another made sure he was in charge of changing the locks. Not only was it impossible for our oldest to get back in the house upon his return, but we have "accidently" been locking him out for over a week - oops. I fell his frustrations - but it has been funny (thank goodness is hasn't happened to me!)

Well to this day when she is mad at me she still calls me that, now I am 57 and she is 77 years old. Amazing... Thanks for a great giveaway!

My sister is 3 years younger than me. But she has always been very sweet and protective. Me being the shy one, she has always stepped up when someone was teasing me or saying something nasty about me. When she was around 5 years old... She told my friend "Don´t you make fun of my sister or I am gonna bite you." Everybody laughed... But she got angry and bit my friends nose. :) She famous in our community... Almost everyone has a story to tell about my little sis and where she bit them... Most common places being arm, knee and nose.

Wow! The stores I could tell about my sisters, I have FOUR of them (31, IM 24, 21, 20 & 12) sooo....This is a pretty funny one!! We were raised in chuch, every Sunday, every Wednesday! My sister Beverly is 4 years younger than me and this happened when she was like 4 or 5. We were in church and the preacher was preaching so it was pretty much QUIET in there and Beverly was sitting on my Mom's lap. Me, my sis Jamie, my brother Nick, his wife & son and my cousin were all sitting on the same pew and out of the blue we hear A REALLY REALLY REALLY LOUD "POOT" and what would you know IT CAME FROM MY LIL SIS BEVERLY! And the Assistant Pastor was sitting right in front of us and he looked back at us!! I remember looking over at my Mom and brother and I thought they were going to die from embarrassment, we were all laughing so hard! BUT--my oldest sis was sitting on the other side of the church and heard it too!! I LOVE bringing this up and teasing Bevs STILL!!! lol

I have a sister. There are all kinds of fun stories there. I used to think that she was super evil b/c every time we had to sleep in the same bed she would play the victim. If I pulled the covers, instead of her pulling back, she would just give me the covers and shiver all night and I would get in trouble. In all liklihood it actually was my fault but for the longest time I just felt that she was getting her revenge on me that evil genius!

I told her what I did like 30 years later but she still loves me anyways. She's plotting my demise, but she loves me.

I have 4 sisters (and 1 poor brother) and us girls were always getting into sort of trouble or another. Back when it was only two of us (I was 3, sis was 1), we apparently decided that it would be a good idea to make breakfast. We got out eggs and syrup, and I think flour or sugar as well. Long story short- the kitchen was carpeted before, and we got linoleum very shortly after. :)

My favorite memory is when he was about 6 and I was 5 and dared him to go out to the pool party wearing one of my bathing suits. If we were that bad at that age I'm sure you can imagine!

My new husband and I unknowingly met an ex student of my college teacher twin sister. She thought I was my sister, and that she had left her husband and children, married someone else and was using a different first name.

My little sister (about 7 at the time) loved to take a bath with candles. I happened to be walking past the bathroom when I saw her rush out, and slam the door behind her. A large flicker of light caught me eye, and I opened the door. My sister had knocked over a candle into the trashcan, and ran out, thinking if she shut the door, it would magically go away. The house would have burned down had I not seen it and started yelling. I still tease her about that and she's 20 now.
