I just have to tell this story! Every time I think about it, I laugh out loud. Even when I'm walking alone in public. Maybe especially then. But since it's a pretty PG-13, I'll try to do it carefully.
Ladies, does your mind ever wonder while you are, um, doing it? It's not that you aren't into it- it's just that all of the sudden you find yourself thinking of grocery lists, and things like that. Well, it happens to me.
So a while ago, that was the situation. There we were, doing married people things. And all of the sudden, I'm planning my Mother in Law's Christmas present. I was thinking to myself I hope she likes burlap, and I should use a brown frame, and "Do you think your mother would like that?"
Kurt shot me a look of horror. "WHY WOULD YOU EVER SAY THAT???"
I stared back for a second, confused at his strong reaction, thinking 'Sheesh, I'll just use a black frame...'
Then it hit me. He was totally oblivious to my thought process. All he knew was that we were doing stuff no parent should have to think about when I asked him if his mom would like that.
I could not stop laughing.
"Why?" He asked, horrified.
Which only made me laugh harder. And made me seem even more twisted and wrong.
It was almost 3 minutes before I could gasp out an explanation, and by then the mood had been brutally killed. Murdered. But it was worth it because anytime I need a good laugh, I relive that moment.
Oh come on. You know you are laughing too.
